A minimum charge of UGX 3,000 applies to every collection.

How a price is calculated

Four components, applied in order. The full breakdown is shown before you pay and stored against the request, so a charge remains explainable months later even if the tariff has since changed.

1. Stream and weight

A base fee for the waste type, plus a rate for each kilogramme. Choosing a container size gives the estimate; the collector records the real weight on arrival.

2. Zone multiplier

Between 1.00 and 1.30 depending on the area. It reflects what a collection actually costs to make — congestion in the centre, distance on the fringe — not what an area can afford.

3. How soon

Standard ×1.00 — Within 24 hours
Same day ×1.35 — Before 6:00 PM today
Express ×1.75 — Within 2 hours

4. Surcharges and discounts

Outside working hours, weekends, no vehicle access, or distance beyond the included radius. Against those: 10% off sorted recyclables and 15% off scheduled collections.

What the platform keeps

iTRUSH withholds 15% of each completed collection. The rest goes to the collection company that did the work.

Commission is recognised when the service is delivered, not when the money arrives. A collection that is never made earns the platform nothing — which is the point.

High-volume partners can negotiate a different rate. Every payout statement lists each collection with its own charge and commission; nothing is aggregated out of view.
